Highlights
Linear Alkylbenzene Sulphonate (LAS) 30–35% w/w. The most widely used anionic surfactant active in institutional and industrial cleaning — biodegradable, cost-effective, and effective across a broad range of grease and particulate soiling types.
Alkaline carrier pH 10–12. Enhances saponification of fatty soils and improves surfactant performance in hard water conditions by sequestering divalent calcium and magnesium ions that reduce anionic surfactant efficacy.
Formulation-ready concentration. Designed as a base input for in-house blending of floor cleaners, general-purpose detergents, laundry concentrates, and industrial surface cleaners — specified LAS concentration for formulation and institutional cleaning applications.
Standalone high-dilution cleaner. At 1:50 to 1:100 dilution in water, suitable as a direct industrial surface and floor cleaner in applications where residue is tolerable and rinsing is available.
Biodegradable active. LAS degrades rapidly in aerobic wastewater treatment systems — relevant for institutional facilities operating under facility effluent-discharge requirements.
How to use & dilute
Small bucket. For 5 L water, add 1.25 L concentrate.
Standard bucket. For 10 L water, add 2.5 L concentrate. Mix in a measured bucket rather than free-pouring.
Use. Apply with mop, sponge or cloth. For machine use, prepare the same product-specific working dilution first and use only where the machine is rated for alkaline surfactant solution.
Equipment & dispenser compatibility
Compatible equipment. Mop systems, sponges and chemical-resistant trigger or low-pressure sprayers when the product is first diluted to the stated direct-cleaning concentration.
Use conditions. Automatic scrubber-dryer use should follow a site compatibility check for foam, rinsing and recovery performance. For formulation use, meter the concentrate through chemical-handling equipment rated for alkaline surfactants.
Not intended for. Do not feed the raw concentrate through equipment that is not rated for alkaline surfactant concentrates.
The chemistry
What is LAS, how does anionic surfactant cleaning work, and why does alkalinity enhance it?
Linear Alkylbenzene Sulphonate is an anionic surfactant — each molecule carries a negatively charged sulphonate head group attached to a linear alkyl chain of 10–13 carbons. The sulphonate head is hydrophilic (water-attracted); the alkyl chain is hydrophobic (oil-attracted).
Usage economy
Direct-use planning. At 10–30 ml/L, a 5 L pack can dose roughly 167–500 L of water for direct cleaning.
Formulation use. When used as a surfactant raw material, pack yield depends on the percentage incorporated into the finished formulation.
Dose control. Use measured batch additions or controlled metering; do not free-pour a high-active surfactant concentrate.

Water quality
Performance can vary with local water hardness. Use the lowest effective dose and follow site water-treatment guidance where hard water causes residue, weak cleaning or excess product use.
Caution & storage
Concentrate handling. This is an alkaline, high-active surfactant concentrate. Wear gloves for bulk handling and avoid eye contact or prolonged skin exposure.
Process compatibility. Do not blend with acids, oxidisers or other formulation chemicals unless compatibility has been checked for the intended formulation or cleaning process.
Storage. Keep tightly closed in the original compatible container, upright and protected from excessive heat, direct sun and contamination.
