Instrument Pre-Soak – Multi-Enzyme

Triple-enzyme blend. protease breaks down blood and protein soil, lipase targets fats, and amylase clears starch residue — covering the three dominant organic soil types found on surgical and lab instruments.

Pre-soak & ultrasonic compatible. formulated for manual pre-soak basins as well as ultrasonic cleaning baths ahead of autoclave sterilisation.

Low-foam formula. suitable for ultrasonic and mechanical washer-disinfector use where excess foam would interfere with cavitation and cleaning action.

Material-safe. non-corrosive to stainless steel, aluminium, and common instrument finishes at recommended dilution and soak time.

Neutral pH. reduces the risk of instrument surface damage versus alkaline pre-soak alternatives over repeated processing cycles.

Why does instrument reprocessing rely on enzymes rather than a standard detergent, and why combine three different enzyme types?
Surgical soil is a mixture of blood proteins, tissue fats, and occasionally starch-based lubricants or residues, each of which requires a different breakdown mechanism.

Pre-soak. Dilute 5–10 ml per litre of lukewarm water (not hot — heat can denature enzymes). Fully immerse instruments for 5–10 minutes.

Ultrasonic bath. Use the same dilution in the ultrasonic tank per equipment manufacturer’s cycle time guidance, then rinse thoroughly before autoclaving.

• Avoid contact with eyes. May cause mild irritation in individuals sensitised to enzyme proteins.
• In case of eye contact, rinse immediately with clean water.
• Do not use water above 45°C — excess heat deactivates the enzyme system.
