Description
Best suited for. Institutional dispenser-based antiseptic handwashing programmes.
Choose this when. You need ready-to-use CHG + BKC handwash for soap-and-water hand hygiene.
Choose another product when. You need an alcohol hand rub, a standard fragranced handwash, or a different hand-hygiene protocol.
Highlights
Chlorhexidine Gluconate 1% w/v. A chlorhexidine-based antiseptic active used in this ready-to-use institutional handwash formulation.
BKC 0.1% w/w co-active. Quaternary ammonium co-active included alongside CHG in the formulation.
pH 5.5–7.0. Formulated in a mildly acidic-to-neutral range suitable for repeated institutional handwashing; individual skin tolerance can vary.
Mild emollient system. Includes a mild emollient system intended to support comfort during repeated institutional handwashing.
Dispenser-ready viscosity. Compatible with push-pump, sensor-activated, and institutional wall-mounted dispensers — direct fill, no dilution or reformatting required.
How to use & dilute
Refill. Use ready to use. Refill only a clean, empty liquid-soap dispenser; do not top off a partly filled reservoir.
Wash. Wet hands, dispense the normal measured pump/sensor dose, work over all hand surfaces, then rinse thoroughly.
Control. For institutional use, record the dispenser output per activation and use that figure for consumption planning instead of estimating by eye.
Equipment & dispenser compatibility
Compatible equipment. Push-pump, sensor-activated and wall-mounted dispensers designed for liquid hand soap.
Use conditions. Use a dedicated, clean dispenser and follow the facility’s refill-hygiene procedure. Do not mix or top up with other soaps or detergents.
Not intended for. Foam-generating dispensers are not recommended unless the dispenser and formulation have been confirmed suitable together by the dispenser manufacturer or a site compatibility check.
The chemistry
How do CHG and BKC function within this antiseptic handwash formulation?
Chlorhexidine Gluconate is the primary antiseptic active in the formulation, with BKC included as a quaternary ammonium co-active. Follow the labelled wash time and rinse instructions for routine institutional hand hygiene.
Usage economy
Pack planning. A 5 L refill contains 5,000 ml of handwash; the number of handwash doses depends on the actual dispenser output per activation.
Measure dispenser output. Record the ml delivered by one pump or sensor activation and use that figure for site-level consumption planning.
Refill discipline. Keep dispensers clean and avoid topping off partially filled reservoirs so consumption and hygiene remain easier to control.
