Product overview
The test of a laundry detergent is not how clothes smell out of the drum. It is how they smell at the end of the day. Most laundry fragrance is a water-soluble compound that rinses out with the wash water — what you smell at the end of the cycle is largely the fragrance that was not rinsed away, which fades quickly as the garment is worn.
Alle’s ClinX Mini Laundry Liquid uses an encapsulated fragrance system: fragrance compounds are enclosed in microscopic polymer capsules that bond to fabric fibres during the wash cycle. The capsules break open through the friction of movement — when you put on a shirt, move through the day, or unfold a towel. This is why clothes washed with this product smell fresh hours after wearing, not just moments after washing. The surfactant system handles the cleaning. The encapsulation system handles the freshness.
Why it works
| Standard liquid laundry detergents use surfactants to remove soil and fragrance compounds to scent the wash. The problem is that both are water-soluble and both rinse out during the rinse cycle — the difference is only in how much remains. Encapsulated fragrance solves this by enclosing fragrance molecules in polymer shells that are hydrophobic and bond to fabric fibres rather than rinsing away with the wash water. The shells release their fragrance through mechanical friction rather than water contact, which is why the scent is released by wearing rather than washing. |
How to use
- Add 50 ml to the detergent drawer or drum before loading.
- Select appropriate wash cycle and temperature for the fabric type.
- Hand washing dissolve 30 ml in a basin of water, agitate gently, rinse thoroughly.
- Note not suitable for wool or silk — use Alle’s ClinX Mini Woollen Wash for delicate fabrics.
