Every plastic waste figure we publish is grounded in the known tare weight of our HDPE containers — verified by manufacturer specifications and periodic spot-weighing.

Conservative Weight Baselines

• 50 L can: 1,200g–1,800g empty — we count 1,200g

Blended Average

Across our container mix, the blended average is approximately 500g per unit — the figure used in our weekly increment formula (14 containers × 0.5kg = 7kg/week).

Why Conservative?

When we report —kg, the true number is likely higher. We only publish what we can conservatively verify from our own dispatch and recovery logs.

Data Source

Tare weights established from manufacturer specifications and confirmed by periodic spot-weighing of returned containers at our Dharuhera facility.

How It's Measured

• Every container dispatched is logged against a specific client and order number
• On the following delivery, empties are collected and matched to the original dispatch record
• Recovery rate = containers returned ÷ containers dispatched × 100

Why Per-Cycle?

Annual averaging can mask seasonal dips or problem accounts. Tracking per delivery cycle gives a real-time operational signal — if a client's rate drops below target, we follow up before it compounds.

The 2% Gap

Unrecovered containers are typically damaged beyond reuse or lost in client facility reorganisations. They are logged as disposed rather than recovered — keeping our denominator honest and our headline number conservative.

Our plastic saved figure is a live running total — calculated from a verified base of 80kg (February 2025), growing at +7kg per week as new recovery cycles complete across our —-container network.

The Formula

Plastic saved = 80kg + (weeks since 1 Feb 2025 × 7kg)

Worked Example — Batch Calculation

• 50 × 5L cans recovered = 50 × 0.4kg = 20kg
• 20 × 25L cans recovered = 20 × 0.8kg = 16kg
• 10 × 50L cans recovered = 10 × 1.2kg = 12kg
• Total from this batch: 48kg plastic prevented

Container Count — Same Formula

Base of 400 containers (Feb 2025) + 14 per week. At blended average 0.5kg/container: 14 × 0.5 = 7kg/week — the two figures are mathematically consistent by design.
