Tile और grout एक installation बनाते हैं, लेकिन material behavior same नहीं होती। Glazed tile face relatively smooth/low-absorption हो सकती है, जबकि cement grout ज्यादा porous और textured हो सकती है।
Tile usually smoother surface होती है
NPS ceramic tile guidance बताती है glazed/vitrified surfaces loose grit remove करने के बाद relatively mild methods से clean हो सकती हैं। Smooth tile पर soil के लिए कम pores/recesses होते हैं।
Grout ज्यादा moisture और soil hold कर सकती है
Traditional cementitious grout glazed tile से generally ज्यादा porous होती है। Recessed joints भी soil collect करती हैं, इसलिए tile clean दिखे जबकि grout darker रह सकती है।
Mechanical action अलग हो सकती है
Smooth tile को cloth/mop/soft pad पर्याप्त हो सकता है, जबकि textured grout के लिए compatible brush useful हो सकती है। Aggressive abrasion tile scratch या grout erode कर सकती है।
Chemistry दोनों materials के लिए compatible हो
NPS stains identify करने और product directions follow करने पर जोर देता है। Acidic, alkaline या oxidizing chemistry grout, sealer, natural-stone tile, trim या coating को differently affect कर सकती है।
Rinsing/recovery grout lines में ज्यादा important है
Recessed या porous joints में cleaning solution dry होकर residue छोड़ सकती है। Product require करे तो thorough rinse/recovery haze और recurring dark lines कम करती है।
हर grout cement grout नहीं होती
Epoxy, sealed और specialty grout systems की absorption/chemical limits अलग होती हैं। Installation instructions follow करें।
