Cleaning के बाद natural stone dull या hazy दिखे तो उसका single cause नहीं होता। Appearance surface पर बैठे material से आ सकती है या surface itself change हो चुकी हो सकती है। दोनों situations का response अलग है।
Cause 1: Cleaning residue
Incorrect dilution, too much product या incomplete removal drying के बाद film छोड़ सकते हैं। CDC manufacturer instructions के अनुसार product preparation और required residue removal पर जोर देता है।
Cause 2: Hard-water film
USGS बताता है hard water में dissolved calcium/magnesium होते हैं और drying के बाद spots/film रह सकते हैं। Polished stone पर thin mineral deposit clarity कम करके haze बना सकता है।
Cause 3: Acid etching
Marble जैसे acid-sensitive stones पर acidic chemistry surface alter कर सकती है। NPS acid-sensitive stone पर acid-based cleaners avoid करने को कहता है। Etching dull patch जैसी दिख सकती है क्योंकि original polish chemically change हो चुकी होती है।
Cause 4: Excessive abrasion
Aggressive pad, brush, abrasive powder या high-pressure process surface microscratch/texture कर सकते हैं। NPS excessive pressure और abrasive methods से softer stone damage की warning देता है। More scrubbing haze worse कर सकती है।
Cause 5: Finish wear या maintenance need
Polished surface traffic/wear से reflectivity lose कर सकती है। Controlled clean visible film remove न करे और dullness traffic lanes में concentrated हो तो issue residue की बजाय maintenance/restoration हो सकता है।
Diagnostic sequence
- Stone और finish identify करें.
- Used product और dilution check करें.
- Compatible low-residue method से small test area re-clean करें.
- Water quality/mineral film contribution check करें.
- Test area fully dry होने के बाद compare करें.
- Haze रहे तो stronger chemistry से पहले etching, abrasion या finish wear assess करें.
Practical takeaway
Haze symptom है, diagnosis नहीं। पहले decide करें problem stone पर removable material है या changed stone surface। यही distinction repeated cleaning से damage बढ़ने से रोकती है।
