Acid stone को change कर सकता है, केवल soil को नहीं
U.S. National Park Service marble को acid-sensitive materials में रखता है और acid-sensitive stone पर acid-based cleaners generally avoid करने को कहता है। Chemical contamination पर act करने की बजाय mineral surface से react कर सकता है।
Etching कैसी दिख सकती है
Polished marble पर etching dull, light या hazy patch की तरह दिख सकती है क्योंकि smooth reflective surface microscopically alter हो गई होती है। Product remove होने के बाद भी gloss loss रह सकता है।
Etching residue जैसी नहीं है

Chemical process repeat करना stop करें। Instructions के अनुसार remaining product remove करें, area dry होने दें और finish assess करें। Gloss/texture change हो तो correction cleaning की बजाय honing, polishing या specialist restoration मांग सकती है।
