Daily cleaning workflow वह operating sequence है जो cleaning schedule को ऐसे काम में बदलता है जिसे हर shift में consistent तरीके से दोहराया जा सके। Checklist बताती है कि क्या करना है; workflow यह जोड़ता है कि कब, किस order में, किन supplies के साथ और area को use के लिए कैसे hand back करना है। उद्देश्य हर room को एक rigid pattern में डालना नहीं, बल्कि avoidable backtracking, missed surfaces, cross-contamination और unsafe improvisation कम करना है।
Required outcome से शुरू करें
Room का route तय करने से पहले define करें कि “complete” का अर्थ क्या है। Scope में आने वाली surfaces और tasks, expected frequency, product/equipment restrictions और responsible person लिखें। Busy washroom, office, classroom और production-support area की daily requirements अलग हो सकती हैं। इसलिए workflow site cleaning plan से बनना चाहिए, किसी दूसरे facility से copy नहीं होना चाहिए।
High-touch और frequently used surfaces को low-touch surfaces की तुलना में अधिक frequent attention की आवश्यकता हो सकती है। CDC general-facility guidance high-touch surfaces को regularly clean करने और बाकी surfaces को visibly dirty होने पर clean करने की सलाह देती है.[1] Healthcare guidance frequency को contamination probability, occupant vulnerability और exposure potential से भी जोड़ती है; healthcare frequencies को general facilities में सीधे copy नहीं करना चाहिए, लेकिन risk-based planning principle useful है.[2]
1. शुरू करने से पहले assess करें
Chemical खोलने या equipment move करने से पहले area पर एक quick visual check करें। Unusual spill, heavy soil, blocked access, damaged surface, wet area, maintenance work या ऐसी condition देखें जो normal plan बदलती हो। CDC environmental-cleaning guidance cleaning शुरू होने से पहले preliminary visual assessment की सलाह देती है ताकि obstacles, extra supplies, PPE needs और damaged surfaces identify किए जा सकें.[2]
General facility में भी यही habit routine cleaner को बीच काम में unsuitable method discover करने से बचाती है। अगर condition approved procedure से बाहर है, improvise करने के बजाय stop और escalate करें।
2. Route और supplies तैयार करें
Area के लिए required approved products, clean cloths या mop heads, waste supplies, warning controls और tools पहले तैयार रखें। Equipment clean, serviceable और surface के लिए suitable होना चाहिए। Hazardous cleaning chemicals के लिए label directions और SDS available हों, और workers को safe use, dilution, storage और spill response की training मिली हो.[3]
Preparation में route भी शामिल है। तय करें team कहाँ enter करेगी, used materials कहाँ से बाहर जाएंगे, कौन-से areas cleaner या dirtier हैं, और floor cleaning के बाद cleaner wet surface के पीछे trap न हो।
3. Consistent cleaning sequence use करें
दो sequencing principles widely used हैं क्योंकि ये recontamination कम करने में मदद करते हैं: cleaner areas से dirtier areas की ओर काम करें, और high surfaces से lower surfaces की ओर जाएँ। CDC और WHO healthcare guidance left-to-right या clockwise जैसे methodical pattern की भी सलाह देती है ताकि surfaces miss होने की संभावना कम हो.[2][4] ये healthcare sources हैं; office और general facilities अपने room layout के अनुसार pattern adapt करें।

4. High-touch surfaces को route में fit करें
High-touch surfaces को अधिक frequent cleaning चाहिए हो सकती है, लेकिन “high-touch first” universal sequencing rule नहीं है। Frequency और route अलग decisions हैं। Door handle दिन में कई बार clean हो सकता है, लेकिन particular room route में cleaner desk area पहले और more contaminated washroom fixture बाद में आ सकता है। Workflow को priority surfaces और उनका order दोनों identify करने चाहिए।
5. Floors को safely finish करें
High-to-low sequencing आम तौर पर floor cleaning को room process के अंत के करीब रखती है। CDC healthcare guidance floors को environmental surfaces के बाद रखती है.[2] General facilities में floor timing safety issue भी है: wet floor slip hazard बना सकता है। HSE wet/drying floors पर pedestrian access control करने, possible हो तो quieter periods में clean करने, sections में work करने और dry route छोड़ने की सलाह देता है.[5]
इसलिए workflow को केवल floor कैसे clean होगा यह नहीं, बल्कि dry होने तक area safe कैसे रहेगा यह भी define करना चाहिए।
6. Close, verify और reset करें
Workflow last surface wipe होने पर खत्म नहीं होता। Closeout में required standard के against quick inspection, used materials का removal, equipment का safe storage/reprocessing, housekeeping scope में आने वाली replenishment और defects/supply shortages की reporting शामिल होनी चाहिए।

- क्या कोई surface visibly soiled, streaked या wet है?
- क्या warning controls अभी required हैं?
- क्या damage या repeated problem identify हुआ?
- क्या tools next use के लिए ready हैं?
Verification task के अनुसार होना चाहिए। Visual inspection missed soil, residue, damage और incomplete closeout दिखा सकती है; यह अपने आप microbiological outcome prove नहीं करती। Regulated या high-risk process में additional verification required हो तो specialist procedure method और acceptance criteria define करे।
Example daily room workflow
- Room condition और exceptions review करें।
- Approved supplies और safe exit route तैयार करें।
- Obvious waste या loose debris बिना फैलाए remove करें।
- Cleaner-to-dirtier और high-to-low logic के साथ repeatable pattern में surfaces clean करें।
- Required frequency के अनुसार identified high-touch tasks complete करें।
- Wet area से लोगों को protect करते हुए floor clean करें।
- Inspect करें, exceptions record करें और equipment reset करें।
यह illustrative framework है, universal SOP नहीं। Correct workflow को facility की risk assessment, product instructions, surface requirements और sector rules follow करने चाहिए।
