Completely. CheckMate does not transmit any data to external servers. There are no accounts, no sync services, and no telemetry. Everything you write stays on your device and your device alone.

Notes are stored in your browser’s localStorage — a secure, sandboxed storage area on your local device. You can export your notes at any time as a JSON file from the Settings panel, and re-import them whenever needed.

Yes. CheckMate is a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can install it to your device directly from the browser. An install prompt will appear automatically. Once installed, it opens in its own window without browser chrome, just like a native app.
